Mission Viejo is an exceptional city because generations of residents and community leaders have invested in safe neighborhoods, public safety, responsible local government, beautiful parks, strong infrastructure, and an outstanding quality of life.

As a candidate for Mission Viejo City Council District 4, my priorities are built around a simple philosophy: protect what makes Mission Viejo special, ensure City Hall works for the residents it serves, and prepare our community for the opportunities and challenges ahead.

My priorities are centered on three commitments:

Preserving Our Roots

Public Safety, Strong Neighborhoods and Fiscal Responsibility

Mission Viejo is known for its safe neighborhoods, beautiful parks, strong community character, and exceptional quality of life. Protecting those qualities must remain a priority for the Mission Viejo City Council.

Growth and change are inevitable, but progress should never come at the expense of public safety, neighborhood character, private property rights, fiscal responsibility, or the qualities that make Mission Viejo a special place to call home.

As your District 4 City Councilmember, I will work to:

Keep Mission Viejo public safety a top priority and support strong, responsible funding for police, fire, and emergency services.
Protect the safety, character, and quality of life of Mission Viejo neighborhoods.
Support private property rights and oppose unnecessary local government restrictions on homeowners.
Maintain Mission Viejo’s streets, parks, trails, sports fields, open spaces, and public facilities through responsible long-term infrastructure planning.
Protect Mission Viejo’s strong financial position through fiscal responsibility, disciplined budgeting, healthy reserves, and careful stewardship of taxpayer dollars.
Strengthen wildfire prevention, emergency preparedness, and disaster readiness.
Protect local control and advocate for Mission Viejo’s ability to make decisions based on the priorities of Mission Viejo residents.
Preserve the parks, recreation programs, youth sports, community events, and gathering places that help make Mission Viejo home.

Living the Mission

Responsive Local Government and a Strong Mission Viejo Economy

Good local government should be accessible, responsive, transparent, and focused on delivering results.

Mission Viejo residents should not have to navigate unnecessary bureaucracy to get an answer, improve their property, open or grow a business, or make their voices heard at City Hall.

As a member of the Mission Viejo City Council, I will work to:

Be an accessible and responsive City Councilmember for every resident of District 4.
Promote transparency, accountability, and clear communication between Mission Viejo City Hall and residents.
Give residents meaningful opportunities to provide input before major decisions affecting their neighborhoods are made.
Streamline permitting and reduce unnecessary bureaucracy for residents, entrepreneurs, and Mission Viejo small businesses.
Support a business-friendly Mission Viejo that helps existing businesses succeed, attracts responsible investment, and strengthens the local tax base.
Build strong partnerships with local schools, HOAs, nonprofits, youth organizations, businesses, and community groups.
Support programs and community spaces serving Mission Viejo families, seniors, veterans, and young people.
Use technology to make Mission Viejo city services faster, easier, and more accessible without creating additional bureaucracy.
Demand accountability for taxpayer dollars and ensure city programs deliver measurable value for residents.

Preparing for the Future

Technology, Economic Resilience and the Next Generation of Mission Viejo

The decisions we make today will determine the Mission Viejo our children inherit tomorrow.

Preparing Mission Viejo for the future does not mean changing the character of our community. It means anticipating challenges, embracing responsible innovation, strengthening our local economy, and making long-term decisions that keep Mission Viejo safe, financially strong, and resilient.

This is an area where my professional experience in organizational leadership, strategy, technology, and workforce issues can bring a different perspective to the Mission Viejo City Council.

I will work to:

Develop a responsible approach to artificial intelligence and emerging technology in Mission Viejo that improves resident services while protecting privacy and maintaining human accountability.
Strengthen cybersecurity to protect city systems, infrastructure, operations, and resident information from emerging threats.
Strengthen Mission Viejo emergency preparedness for wildfires, earthquakes, power disruptions, natural disasters, and other emergencies.
Attract and retain quality employers and responsible businesses in Mission Viejo that strengthen our economy and local tax base.
Support workforce development, internships, mentorships, and career pathways connecting young people with opportunities throughout Orange County.
Plan Mission Viejo infrastructure investments with a long-term perspective so today’s maintenance needs do not become tomorrow’s expensive emergencies.
Pursue responsible grants, regional partnerships, and outside funding that bring resources back to Mission Viejo without compromising local priorities.
Evaluate major city investments based on their financial and community impact not only today, but 10 and 20 years into the future.
Protect Mission Viejo’s long-term financial strength so future generations inherit opportunity rather than unnecessary debt and unfunded obligations.
Encourage innovation that makes local government more efficient while keeping people—not technology—at the center of public service.

The Mission Ahead

My priorities for Mission Viejo City Council District 4 are connected by one goal: keeping Mission Viejo an exceptional place to live, raise a family, build a business, and eventually retire.

Preserving Our Roots means protecting Mission Viejo’s public safety, neighborhoods, fiscal responsibility, infrastructure, parks, local control, and quality of life.

Living the Mission means ensuring Mission Viejo City Hall listens, communicates, delivers results, supports our local economy, and remembers that government exists to serve its residents.

Preparing for the Future means looking beyond the next election and making responsible decisions about technology, infrastructure, economic resilience, emergency preparedness, and our city’s finances so Mission Viejo remains strong for the generations that follow.

I’m not running to reinvent Mission Viejo.

I’m running to protect what works, improve what can be better, and prepare our city for what comes next.
